My Story
I am a happily married woman and a mother of two boys. My best friend is my husband and he would say that about me as well. This is solely because I practice what I preach and live my life that way. I listen, I care and I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong. My children know and feel they are loved and that their needs are important.
My professional training consists of undergraduate school, graduate school and a 5 year post graduate training in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. During my analytic training I was in 3 times a week therapy for 5 years. Through my own therapy I learned a great deal. I uncovered the reason why I was a compulsive over eater and lost over 30 pounds, which I have successfully kept off for over 20 years. In addition, I worked through issues of intimacy and learned how to improve my own communication skills. I have been a practicing therapist for over 20 years. Through the years I have been treating individuals and couples who experience a range of emotional distress. I focus on helping individuals and couples learn how to effectively communicate. In addition, I work with compulsive overeater and Bariatric patients,”Examining Their Relationship with Food”
I am most proud of my own personal relationships and the inner happiness I experience in my own life. In addition, I take great pride in helping those people I have worked with over the years and seeing them reach their own goals.
